Junior Consultant - London

We work closely with clients to help them understand the drivers of their reputation and what matters most to their stakeholders. We work on issues that range from supporting the energy transition to managing the roll out of corporate diversity and inclusion programmes and the development of culture strategies, through to conducting global research that helps to deliver on our client’s business objectives and beyond.

Our work focuses on three key areas:
Intelligence: We help organisations understand the perceptions and expectations of their stakeholders through insights and analytics: materiality studies, perceptions studies, risk & issues mapping, ESG mapping.
Strategy: We develop blueprints for organisations to shape their reputation: external affairs strategies, sustainability strategies, thought leadership strategies and communications strategies.
Engagement: We help organisations engage with their stakeholders through internal capability building and leadership coaching in all fields related to stakeholder engagement, as well as through direct stakeholder engagement and communications (e.g., facilitation of stakeholder forums, communications planning)
What we’re looking for:
We are looking for a Junior Consultant to join our London team. This is an entry level position.
As a junior consultant, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of our client services. You will be expected to research the key topics driving our clients’ reputation, discover insights from qualitative and quantitative data, develop impactful content for client presentations, plan and draft client communications materials, and make a valuable contribution to the development of our client advice and recommendations.
With the support of your project manager
o Prepare client presentations and participate in client meetings
o Manage fieldwork for our Intelligence projects, e.g., launch online surveys, conduct stakeholder interviews, manage external partners
o Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to extract key themes around the perceptions and expectations of our clients’ most important stakeholders
o Research media and corporate publications to inform our client’s approaches to External Affairs, Sustainability, Communications or Stakeholder Engagement.
o Draft communications materials for our clients, which could include press releases and digital content
Some of our recent projects included:
- Conducting a global materiality study to uncover the key sustainability issues affecting a global Consumer Goods company
- Building the profile of a new technology Venture Capital fund, in print and digital media
- Helping a not-for-profit organisation in the field of alcohol responsibility better measure its impact
- Conducting a series of workshops to help a global beverage company embed sustainability across all its divisions
- Helping a European trade organisation mobilise its sector to extend and demonstrate its social value
Candidate profile:
The ideal candidate will have a completion of the following
· Strong academic credentials, preferably in Business, Communications, Media studies or related field
· Preferably 1-2+ years of relevant experience (consulting, communications, sustainability or other relevant field)
· A keen interest in the fields of reputation, external affairs, communications and sustainability
· Strong analytical skills and an ability to extrapolate trends and themes from both qualitative and quantitative data
· Resourcefulness to approach complex, unfamiliar issues and apply logic to shape solutions addressing our client’s needs
· Highly proficient in MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel
· Full English fluency
· Excellent writing skills
· Knowledge of other languages is a plus

What you’ll be doing…
- Proactive monitoring of current affairs as well as reputation and communication trends
- Media relations support to senior team members including ideas generation, writing, photocalls and pitching
- Liaison with various third-party suppliers
- Research to support new business
- Ongoing research and analysis on a variety of topics pertaining to client needs
- Assisting senior team members with various client requirements
- Assistance with preparation of business documents and presentations
- Attend client events and industry conferences
- Deliver analytics reports on social media, reporting on traffic, engagement and follower figures.
