Due to a number of new client wins and expanded briefs our London office is seeking to recruit an Account Executive and Account Manager. 

Account Executive 

We’re looking for an ambitious account executive to work on a number of client accounts, spanning a range of sectors including FMCG, hospitality, finance, venture capital and B2B.

 

We are looking for an account executive interested in broadening their communications and media relations experience, whilst getting the opportunity to pursue a reputation management and develop their skills in this space.  This will include gaining experience across insights & research, strategy development and creating reputation management training programmes. Our account executives should demonstrate a keen interest in business, strategic communications and reputation management, as well as having a broad knowledge of trade, national and international media across print, broadcast and digital.

 

They should have good writing skills and the ability to adapt their style for a range of audiences and purposes. Clear and confident verbal communication skills are essential. They should be analytical, research oriented and have good attention to detail.  

 

They should be organised, enthusiastic and have the ability to work independently as well as make contributions to various client teams. 

 

We are keen to hear from candidates with 1 - 2 years of work experience in communications, consultancy or related fields.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities will include:  

  • Desk research and analysis on a variety of topics pertaining to client needs 
  • Case study development
  • Issues monitoring and trend analysis
  • Content creation and copywriting
  • Conducting primary and secondary stakeholder research
  • Assisting with preparation of business documents, client reports, presentations and materials  
  • Assisting senior team members with various client requirements 
  • Conducting research to support new business  
  • General administration, ad hoc support across accounts and office management 
  • Proactive monitoring of media and current affairs as well as reputation and communication trends 
  • Drafting and pitching press releases and feature ideas by phone or email to trade, regional and national journalists, across print, broadcast and online, to interest them in covering their clients’ stories  
  • Media relations support to senior team members including ideas generation, writing, photocalls and pitching 
  • Liaison with various third-party suppliers such as photographers, printers etc. 
  • Arranging interviews and editorial meetings with key journalists for clients’ spokespeople - in person or over the phone - and facilitate these meetings where appropriate 
  • Monitoring media coverage and report results to the wider team and clients 
  • Attending client events and industry conferences 
  • Handling clients’ social media accounts such as their Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn page 
  • Delivering analytics reports on social media, reporting on traffic, engagement and follower figures

Hours

Normal office hours are 09:00am - 5:30pm. However, account executives may be required to complete work or attend events (when safe to do so) outside of regular hours and support on deadline driven projects.

Account Manager

At ReputationInc, our account managers are typically responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and all aspects of their reputation. 

 

We are looking for an account manager with good client engagement, programme management and media relations experience, interested in broadening their experience into strategic reputation management and developing their skills in this space.  This will include gaining experience across insights & research, strategy development and creating reputation management training programmes.

 

A successful account manager will deliver demonstrable results of engaging with clients and media to produce positive outcomes and shaping their clients’ reputation and profile.

 

Successful account manager will have a track record of managing their own client portfolio in a strategic manner to include programme planning and management. In addition, they will have strong media relations skills and have robust knowledge of media across print, broadcast and digital.

 

We are keen to hear from candidates with 3-4 years of work experience in media relations, communications, consultancy or related fields.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities will include:  

  • Managing a portfolio of client accounts 
  • Providing strategic counsel to clients  
  • Building relationships with existing and new clients 
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders relevant to the client 
  • Developing communications programmes and strategies
  • Developing media and communications content
  • Managing client interactions
  • Dealing with the media, speaking to journalists and other members of the press 
  • Providing innovative and creative ideas to clients 
  • Briefing clients and updating them on projects  
  • Analysing efficacy of projects  

 

Other Key Responsibilities 

  • Fulfilling the client’s key performance indicators and growing accounts  
  • Managing a high level of client interaction  
  • Being daily point of contact with key stakeholders 
  • Developing industry, sector, community and product focused projects 
  • Managing the needs of the client and their accounts 
  • Contributing to daily meetings, and liaising and updating clients on PR activities 
  • Keeping abreast of current trends and tools pertinent to client base 
  • Building client relationships and maintaining a network of media contacts including journalists and industry spokespeople 
  • Spearheading both traditional PR and reputation management projects 
  • Developing news angles, stories and pitches to further the client’s profile, products and services 
  • Being involved in pitching for new business, developing PR proposals and support our marketing activity
  • Managing and mentoring junior members of staff

Hours 

Standard hours are generally Monday-Friday, 9am - 5:30pm. There may be a requirement to work irregular hours to meet client deadlines, manage a client crisis or press launch. Attending networking events and social occasions (when safe to do so) with clients will also add to working hours.
