A US citizen, Peggy Simcic Brønn is professor at BI Norwegian Business School as well as director of the BI Centre for Corporate Communication. Since 2015 she is also special advisor to ReputationInc Oslo on selected projects.
Following the completion of her M.B.A. at Georgia State University in 1982, Peggy steadily built a career for herself as a community activist earning a place on the organising committee for the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. Partially as the result of two holidays in Norway during 1986 and 1987, her Norwegian-born husband decided it was time to return to his roots. Thus a move across the Atlantic for the young family followed shortly after. In 2000 Peggy received her D.B.A. from Henley Management College, and was appointed professor almost a decade later.
At present Peggy is a prominent member of the Norwegian Public Relations community, and is regularly called upon by the national press, amongst others, to provide insights on current events. Beside reputation, her main interests in academic life are corporate branding as well as corporate social responsibility. Her works are published in the European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Communication Management, Public Relations Review, Journal of Communication Management, and Corporate Reputation Review.
When not working hard on her latest book, lecture, or research project, Peggy can occasionally be found riding one of the four family BMW motorcycles. Much in line with the multinational presence her Croatian, Swiss, and Irish heritage suggests, tour destinations have so far spanned much of Northern America and Central Europe.
