Cheri has 25 years’
experience in strategic communications management and consulting.
Born and educated in the US, Cheri began her career as an intern for the US
Senate before spending the next 15 years in the food and drinks industry at
the National Soft Drink Association in Washington and then at NutraSweet in
Chicago. She moved to Switzerland in 1990, responsible for Public Relations
across Europe for NutraSweet.
In 1994, Cheri left to study at London Business School, where she was a Sloan
Fellow, earning a Masters Degree in Management in 1995.
From 1995-2002, Cheri led communications and corporate affairs globally for
three blue chip multinationals: Reckitt & Colman, an FMCG and pharmaceuticals
manufacturer/marketer; Marks & Spencer, the UK’s largest clothing
retailer; and Australian property/construction company Lend Lease.
Since 2004, Cheri has worked as a consultant in strategic communications and
reputation management in Dubai, where she has advised a wide range of clients
including Dubai Holding, the Dubai International Financial Centre, Dubai International
Capital, HSBC Bank Middle East and Young Arab Leaders.
Cheri’s experience across a range of international geographies and sectors
covers corporate affairs, external and internal/change communications strategy
and implementation, corporate social responsibility, public affairs, risk/issues,
sponsorship and event management.
She serves on the Executive Committee of the London Business School International
Alumni Board and is Chair of its Communications Task Force.
